We are meeting during 7th grade Health class for the next 8 weeks. We have completed 2 weeks so far.<br /><br />The first 2 weeks have been spent discussing "<span style="font-weight: bold;">Youth and Law</span>". We have covered various local ordinances that apply mainly to juveniles in Lake Forest. (A juvenile is anyone who is under 18 years of age.) Some of the laws that we have talked about pertain to possession or consumption of alcohol, curfew, school curfew, theft, and trespassing. We have also watched some awesome videos depicting Lake Forest Police Officers in actual arrest situations in Lake Forest. The discussions have been lively, and the students always have a ton of questions. Officer Sulkin also has a lot of stories that assist to explain the various laws.<br /><br />Please ask your student what they have been discussing in LEADERS.
